Climate change: Small island states could 'disappear', Seychelles president warns

<p>James Michel is the President of the Republic of Seychelles, an archipelago which has suffered greatly from the effects of climate change. </p><br />While for some, climate change and global warming remain scientific concepts, its impacts are very real indeed for the Seychelles population. &quot;We are seeing the effects almost daily at home, we see our coast being eroded, we see the migration of fish, we see the bleaching of our corals&quot;, James Michel tells FRANCE 24's Mairead Dundas.<br />He points out how climate change is already threatening the Seychelles' economy.
