Franz Ferdinand have always been a perplexing contrast for me: the urbanely handsome Alex Kapranos croons his often excellent* lyrics sensitively over guitar music that sometimes veers into meat and potatoes plodding.

"Take Me Out" was a big hit early in their career and, especially in the middle, is just infuriately slightly too slow. For your pleasure, here it is 15% faster.

* I particularly like this from The Dark Of the Matinee:

"So I'm on BBC2 now, telling Terry Wogan how I made it
What I made is unclear now, but his deference is and his laughter is
My words and smile are so easy now
Yes, It's easy now"
