Rough Cut (no reporter narration).<br/> <br />Berkeley protests turn violent<br/> <br />Tear gas and smoke bombs scattered protesters during a march that started peacefully in Berkeley, Saturday night.<br/> <br />Local media say protesters broke the windows of several businesses, others smashed ATM machines with hammers, and overturned garbage dumpsters.<br/> <br />The march was was organized by Occupy Oakland and other groups, to protest recent grand jury decisions in Ferguson and New York.<br/> <br />The decisions not to indict police officers in the shooting death of Michael Brown, or the chokehold death of Eric Garner have sparked protests across the country.<br/> <br />Local media say one officer was injured. Its unclear if any arrests were made.
