TV9 News: Sushma Swaraj Pushes for Declaring Bhagavad Gita as National Holy Book..., <br /> <br />External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Sunday urged the Centre to declare Bhagwad Gita as national holy book. <br /> <br />Swaraj was attending the celebrations marking 5,151 years of the Bhagwad Gita in Delhi. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and several others were also present during the celebrations. <br /> <br />Swaraj added that she participated in the event not as a minister but like an ordinary person. <br /> <br />"I am able to face the challenges as External Affairs Minister only because of the teachings of Bhagwad Gita", Sushma Swaraj said. <br /> <br />Sushma also said that PM Narendra Modi had gifted Bhagwad Gita to Obama during his US visit and indicated the Bhagwad Gita as a national holy book. <br /> <br />"Bhagwad Gita has answers to everybody's problems and thus it should be declared national holy book," Sushma Swaraj added.
