<p>Up to 250 firefighters battled a blaze at the multilevel Da Vinci apartment complex in downtown Los Angeles on Monday, December 8. Stretches of two major freeways, the 110 and the 101, were closed, along with streets near the building, the LA Times said. The LA Fire Department said on <a class="link" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://twitter.com/LAFD/status/541888884456427521" target="_blank">Twitter</a> that the apartment building was under construction.
