Mairis Briedis is now a 2-time IBA Boxing cruiser-weight champion of the world since he has taken a 12-rounds win over Ismail Abdoul and defended his title promoted by Bigger's Better Live on Eurosport from Latvia on November 14, 2014. <br /> <br />The IBA Boxing World Championship was promoted in the terms of the Bigger’s Better series Live on Eurosport. <br /> <br />The bout went on distance, however all the scoring went towards Latvian boxer, Mairis Briedis who has outscored his vis-a-vie from Belgium Ismail Abdoul. <br /> <br />All three judges Klaus Hagemann (Germany), Emil Irimia (Romania) and Bruno Wartelle (France) came to unanimous decision. <br /> <br />The third man in the ring was Mr Steve Smoger (USA). The world championship match was supervised by Mr Stephane Cabrera (France), the IBA boxing European continental representative. <br /> <br />As a final conclusion for the event, Mairis Briedis updated his undefeated record to 14 wins with 11 remaining knockouts.
