Sony hackers urge movie release halt

PLEASE NOTE: EDIT CONTAINS MATERIAL THAT WAS ORIGINALLY 4:3<br/> <br />A group that says it was behind a cyber attack on Sony's Hollywood studios says it's demanding the cancellation of this movie's release.<br/> <br />"The Interview" is described as a comedy about a plot to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.<br/> <br />A letter posted on a file-sharing site on Monday said it was "a movie of terrorism which can break regional peace and cause the war."<br/> <br />It was signed by the Guardians of Peace group.<br/> <br />The letter also said the group was not responsible for a threatening email sent to Sony staff on December 5th.<br/> <br />North Korea has denounced the movie, calling it undisguised sponsoring of terrorism and an act of war, but denies involvement in the hacking attack.<br/> <br />The movie is due for release in the U.S. and Canada on December 25th.
