Canadian driver jailed for deaths caused by stopping for ducks

When Emma Czornobaj stopped her car to help ducklings cross a busy Montreal road back in 2010, two motorcyclists plowed into her car and died.<br/> <br />The two victims included a 50-year-old man and his 16-year-old daughter.<br/> <br />She was convicted in June for criminal negligence and dangerous driving causing death, and has now been sentenced to 90 days in jail.<br/> <br />Pauline Volikakas, wife and mother of the victims, says she's satisfied with the sentence, and wants to move on.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) PAULINE VOLIKAKAS, WIFE AND MOTHER OF VICTIMS SAYING:<br/> <br />"It would help us maybe to go on with our lives with a positive attitude instead of a negative attitude."<br/> <br />Czornobaj will serve her time in jail on the weekends. She was also sentenced to some 240 hours of community service.
