North Koreans placed flowers at shrines and memorials around the capital Pyongyang earlier this week to remember the death of former leader Kim Jong Il.<br/> <br />Service personnel, children and others visited statues of the former leader.<br/> <br />Late last week, U.S. officials said North Korea was responsible for a massive cyber attack against Sony Pictures which prompted the company to cancel the release of a satirical movie about assassinating the current leader Kim Jong Un.<br/> <br />North Korea has denied any involvement in the cyber attack and threatened 'grave consequences' if the U.S. makes good on it's promise to respond to the attack.
