Winter is coming in Iraq.<br/> <br />And for the two million people displaced by Islamic State, unfinished buildings offer the only refuge.<br/> <br />Yazidi refugees living here are going into winter with painfully cold memories.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Kurdish) DISPLACED YAZIDI FROM SINJAR, KAMILA, SAYING:<br/> <br />"We can stand almost everything that happened in the genocide, but taking away our girls. That is the most painful thing."<br/> <br />To make matters worse, aid agencies are struggling to provide for the displaced.<br/> <br />The United Nations has raised not even a third of the more than $2 billion dollars it needs to support the displaced Iraqis through 2015.<br/> <br />And unless more donations emerge, assistance will have to be cut, leaving many out in the cold.
