Chris Brown and Karrueche's wild relationship sparked a question that I thought needed some attention: why do people in bad relationships keep getting back together?

The answer in short is that love is a drug, an addiction that few can escape (let alone someone who is already prone to addiction...we're looking at you Mr. Brown).

But like with any drug, there is ways to kick the habit but first, you must understand the nature of the beast. Here is how love works like a drug in your body:

Adrenaline: you know how they say people who sky dive are adrenaline junkies? Well love gives us a similar rush, (e.g. butterflies), especially new love.
Dopamine: is a feel good neurotransmitter that does many things but in regards to love, it is the happy drug
Serrotonin: balances our mood and is usually the culprit in making us feel love sick in breakups
Oxytocin: a chemical released to bond couples during sex and also, mother's to their babies. Some studies say oxytocin is more present in female sexuality

Boody Call is a new segment where I come to the rescue to answer some of loves great mysteries on love and sex.
