Blood spills in Yemen.<br/> <br />Unknown gunmen shot dead Faisal Al-Sharif, a Houthi field commander in Sanaa.<br/> <br />No one is immediately claiming responsibility for the attacks<br/> <br />An eyewitness says the gunmen fled the scene.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) EYEWITNESS, MAHMOOD DAHAN, SAYING:<br/> <br />"A man was buying water from the store and two men, riding a motorcycle, opened fire at him. After that, they took his rifle and drove away."<br/> <br />The attack comes on a day of violence in the Yemeni capital with a least one person dead amid five bomb attacks.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) WITNESS AHMED ALI AL-QAIL, SAYING:<br/> <br />"What happened was that we heard a big explosion. After two minutes the second explosion occurred and we found cars and houses crushed by the blast"<br/> <br />Yemen has been in turmoil since mass protests in 2011 forced long-ruling President Ali Abdullah Saleh to step down. But tensions have increased after the Houthi takeover of Sanaa in September.
