TV9 Breaking: Bharat Ratna for Vajpayee, Madan Mohan Malviya.., <br /> <br />The government has decided to confer the Bharat Ratna on Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Madan Mohan malaviya. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Union Cabinet. <br />PM Modi sent a recommendation for the Bharat Ratna Awards which was approved by President Pranab Mukherjee. <br /> <br />Vajpayee is the first BJP leader from the country's political right to be conferred the honour. <br /> <br />The BJP had been demanding the Bharat Ratna for Vajpayee for the last five years. Till date, 43 illustrious men and women have been honoured with the prestigious award. <br /> <br />------------------------------------------------------------ <br />(MADAN MOHAN MALAVIYA) <br /> <br />Madan Mohan Malaviya was a freedom fighter and educationist. He was popularly known as 'Mahamana'. Bharat Ratna for Malaviya was one of the promises made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his election campaigns.
