Emotional tributes at funeral of slain NYPD officer<br /> <br />It was fitting that the funeral for a police officer began with the national anthem ...<br /> <br />Some 800 people packed Christ Tabernacle Church in Queens on Saturday to remember NYPD Officer Rafael Ramos.<br /> <br />Photos of the 40-year-old with his family marked the start of a series of emotional testimony to the life of a devoted family man whose time on this earth was cut short.<br /> <br />Vice President Joe Biden was among the dignitaries in attendance.<br /> <br />He spoke directly to the grieving mother of Ramos ... as a man who had lost his own child many years ago.<br /> <br />SOUNDBITE: VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN SAYING:<br /> <br />"The time will come when Rafael's memory will bring a smile to your lips before it brings a tear to your eyes.
