Eradicating racism was one of the main driving forces during the Cuban Revolution, particularly racism against Afro-Cubans. <br /><br />However, almost 50 years on, not much has changed for black Cubans. <br /><br />They still occupy the majority of the lower rung jobs and remain at the mercy of white wealth and power. <br /><br />Paradoxically, one school of thought says that it was the very idea that all Cubans were equal under Communism that was the problem.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Daniel Schweimler reports from Havana.
