The Iraqi government is preparing an offensive against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group in the country's second biggest city, Mosul.<br /><br />The Iraqi army and Sunni tribal fighters are expected to take on ISIL in the coming days, with the US-led coalition providing them with air support.
