<p>Early in the morning when the Pacific Ocean is unusually calm, <a class="link" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://www.nps.gov/havo/index.htm" target="_blank">lava</a> can be seen entering the waters close to the <a class="link" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://www.nps.gov/havo/index.html" target="_blank">Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park</a>. Braving what he describes as “extremely unstable ground” along the Hawaii coastline one morning in February 2013, videographer Kawika successfully captured this stunning, dramatic, close-up recording of the scene.
