TV9 Breaking: Air India Pilot and Engineer Fight Inside Cockpit at Chennai Airport......, <br /> <br />CHENNAI: A Chennai-Delhi Air India flight was delayed by more than two hours after a pilot and an aircraft engineer had a difference of opinion which ended up in a fight inside the cockpit on Saturday. <br /> <br />Sources said that the plane which had arrived from Mumbai was scheduled to take off at 9.45am to Delhi but developed a technical snag. <br /> <br />Though an aircraft engineer rectified the snag, the pilot was not convinced and refused to take off. This led to a difference of opinion between the pilot and the aircraft engineer which ended in a scuffle, said an Air India official. <br /> <br />The pilot and the engineer are injured. The aircraft is an A319, which is a relatively new plane. <br /> <br />The fight between the pilot and the engineer happened when the technical team went inside the cockpit to compel the pilot to take off as scheduled. <br /> <br />An Air India official said that pilot was changed and the plane departed by around 11.45am. <br /> <br />The incident would be investigated, the Air India official said. <br /> <br />A pilot said that pilots were authorized to reject a flight if they found it was unsafe to fly after a technical snag.
