The Pope has been up against the wind and the rain in the Philippines, but it has not put off the crowds waiting to greet him in Manila.<br /><br /> Similar weather put a damper on events in the coastal city of Tacloban, where a typhoon killed at least 6,300 people last year. <br /><br /> The Pope said mass in memory of the victims, which include millions left homeless or displaced. <br /><br /> “When I saw from Rome that catastrophe, I felt that I had to be here,” he said. “And in those very days, I decided to come here. I’m here to be with you. A little bit late, I have to say. But I’m here.”<br /><br /> As well as leading mass, the pontiff met with survivors and the families of those killed.<br /><br /> But he had to leave Tacloban four hours early because of the worsening weather.
