One name amongst those nominated for Padma Shri Award this year for Salman Khan’s father and renowned writer Salim Khan. But in a shocking turn of events, the daddy dearest refused the award and asserted that he deserves more than a Padma Shri. <br />The legendary writer also said that that while he and Javed have bagged six Filmfare awards as a team, Salim’s name was conveniently forgotten when Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri awards were given to the latter. Ouch, now that hurts! <br />Salman’s dad also confessed, after what happened, he would not accept a Padma Bhushan either because it will set a wrong example and that awards don’t excite him anymore as he has never craved for one.
