Madrid, Jan 28 (EFE).- The Competition Committee of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) on Wednesday suspended Real Madrid's Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo for two matches following his assault on Cordoba's Brazilian defender, Edimar. <br /><br />Ronaldo will be suspended for two matches and Real Madrid will have to abide by the decision without the right to appeal, unless an unexpected development takes place, the Federation said on its website. <br /><br />As a result, Ronaldo will miss the games of Los Blancos versus Real Sociedad and Sevilla in La Liga, but will return to the squad before the match against Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderón Stadium set for February 7, 2015. <br /><br />Ronaldo was sent off during the recent La Liga match against Cordoba at 83 minutes, after he assaulted Edimar. <br /><br />The Portuguese later apologized to the Brazilian player.
