The Venezuelan independence fighter Antonio Jose de Sucre was born 220 years ago, on February 3rd, 1795, in Cumana, Venezuela. Also knows as "El Gran Mariscal (field marshal) de Ayacucho," he is considered, along with Simon Bolivar, to be one of the most important Latin American heroes.
