General Motors has taken their Voltec plug-in hybrid technology that was first seen in the Chevrolet Volt and headed upmarket with the Cadillac ELR coupe. With a full driving range of 340 miles between its 16.5kWh lithium-ion battery pack and 1.4-liter,gas-powered generator (or 37 miles on electricity only), the ELR offers an alternative to premium all-electric offerings like the Tesla Model S to buyers who're concerned about range limitations and charging times.

Recently we got a chance to get up close and personal with the ELR, providing us a chance to capture an in-depth look at the sights, sounds, and driving manners of the new coupe. So, does this new high tech Cadillac live up to its $82,135 price tag?

http://www.windingroad.com/articles/reviews/wr-tv-2014-cadillac-elr/

For the best video experience, we encourage you to wear headphones or earbuds. The audio in this video was recorded with in-ear binaural microphones. Because these microphones record sound from inside the ear, playing the sound through headphones gives the sensation of 3D sound. All of this translates to a very realistic listening experience.

If you haven't already, subscribe to our channel!
