Mumbai: The next time you plan to invest your savings in attractive monthly schemes - Beware you could be cheated of your hard earned money. Sleuths of the Bhayandar police have registered a case of fraud against a BJP office bearer and her accomplice for duping people -- mostly housewives of lakhs of rupees in the name of 'Kitty Party' schemes and lucky draws. Karisma Punamiya, floated – Gold Kitty Party -- a monthly investment scheme in April 2011. Claiming to be an office bearer of BJP’s State Youth Wing, Punamiya enrolled around 500 members and took Rs.1,000 from each person every month for three years.
