Rebecca Minkoff went back to the early era of rock'n'roll for a bit of inspiration for the new season. <br /> <br />The New York-based designer found singer Patti Smith's memoir 'Just Kids' particularly good for ideas. <br /> <br />"I was really inspired by her youth, the raw energy she portrays in the book and that she was in New York at a time that you almost can't recreate today. The '70s and rock'n'roll was just beginning so this collection is really an ode to that," she explained before the show Friday
