It’s a sight many dream of seeing – the magical Northern Lights. Videographer Chad Blakey used a time-lapse technology to capture what many witnesses described as one of the most spectacular shows seen in recent years.<br /><br /> Officially known as the Aurora Borealis, they occur when charged particles emitted by the sun during flare activity, reach the Earth’s atmosphere and collide with its gases.<br /><br /> The most common colour is green but pinks blues reds and whites have been observed.<br /><br /> Blakely hopes his footage will inspire interest from amateur photographers.
