PCB seeks clarification from Moin Khan over casino visit

Selector Moin Khan over his visit to a casino ahead of the Pakistan-West Indies World Cup match held in Christchurch, New Zealand, on Saturday, Express News reported.<br />PCB Chairman Shaharyar Khan is reportedly upset over the chief selector’s action, and is expected to address the media in this regard at 5pm.<br />According to sources, cricket authorities — who are unhappy with Moin’s stay in New Zealand – might order him to return to Pakistan very soon.<br />Moin was appointed as the chief selector for the ICC World Cup 2015 and has been travelling with the green team for the tournament.<br />Earlier, as many as eight cricket players, including maverick former captain Shahid Afridi, were also fined for breaching a team curfew ahead of their crucial World Cup game against India, sources told AFP.<br />Read: Boys gone wild: Afridi, Shehzad among 8 cricketers fined for breaching team curfew<br />They were also warned that a repeat offence would see them kicked out of the tournament.<br />A revitalised West Indies had cashed in on a sensational Pakistan batting collapse to notch their first victory of the World Cup by 150 runs at Hagley Oval in Christchurch on February 21.<br />Read: West Indies bounce back with 150-run rout of Pakistan<br />The Caribbean cricketers had scored 310-6, with 115 runs coming in a swashbuckling final 10 overs involving Lendl Simmons, Andre Russell and Darren Sammy.<br />Back-to-back defeats to India and West Indies have left Pakistan at the bottom of Pool B while the West Indies chances of making the top four to qualify for they play-offs improved considerably.<br />While the West Indies batting showed substance lacking in their recent matches, they were assisted by Pakistan having a miserable day in the field compounded by four dropped catches.<br /> <br />http://tribune.com.pk/story/842870/pcb-seeks-clarification-from-moin-khan-over-casino-visit/
