Check out Anushruti's take on Stir Fried Brown Rice recipe. <br /> <br />Ingredients: <br /> <br />270 gm (1 1/2 cups) brown basmati rice <br />750 ml (3 cups) water <br />3 tbsp oil <br />1 tsp asafetida or hing <br />1 tbsp ginger, freshly grated <br />½ cup freshly ground black pepper, to taste <br />40 gm (1/4 cup) almonds, slivered or sliced <br />2 bell peppers or capsicum*, chopped <br />150 gm (1 cup) green peas <br />250 gm (1 cup) paneer, cubed <br />1 ½ tsp salt <br />*Use red and yellow bell peppers for a colourful version <br /> <br />Method: <br /> <br />- In a wok, add the sesame oil, yellow asafoetida powder, freshly grated ginger and freshly ground black pepper and mix all the ingredients well. <br />- Add the slivered almonds and roast them until they acquire a golden brown colour. <br />- Add the chopped bell peppers and green peas.
