Ecuadorian gov't lowers high officials' salaries to hire more doctors

The President of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, issued a decree reducing the salaries of high officials in order to hire 2,200 doctors for the purpose of decreasing the rate of maternal mortality in that country. teleSUR
