Colombia's government has doubled the number of police on the streets of Buenaventura.<br /><br />The measure is in response to gang violence, which has left hundreds of people dead, and forced thousands to flee their homes in the port city.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Alessandro Rampietti reports.
