But The Big Lebowski was a case of perfect casting, with Jeff Bridges as The Dude, and Julianne Moore, Philip Seymour Hoffman, John Tuturro, John Goodman and Tara Reid turning in great performances in supporting roles.<br /><br />It's a film that has an unlikely lasting cultural impact. It's endlessly quotable, it ignited a generation¹s taste for White Russians, and the Dude¹s laid-back philosophy actually inspired a real-life religion. Plus, people gather in cities across the world for Lebowski Fest.
