Korean bank branches have closed in record numbers as customers increase their use of mobile and online banking.<br />The Bank of Korea says the number of bank branches fell to the lowest level in five years last year to 7-thousand 433 branches.<br />That's around 270 branches fewer than the previous year.<br />In comparison, the number of people who have signed up for smartphone banking last year surpassed 4-thousand 8-hundred... which is up 30-percent from the previous year.
