President Park Geun-hye says Koreans have a responsibility and mission to end the 70-year division of the peninsula... and to open an era of inter-Korean unification for future generations.<br />Speaking at a commissioning ceremony for new military officers on Thursday,... the president said... the fundamental foundation of that mission is strong national security.<br />She once again highlighted that the Seoul-Washington alliance remains firm... and condemned the recent knife attack on U.S. Ambassador Mark Lippert.<br />Referring to the ever-changing security situation in Northeast Asia,... President Park asked the Korean military to innovate... and become more creative in leading the country's unification efforts.
