Japan is expected to extend its own sanctions against North Korea by two more years.<br />According to Japanese news outlets... Tokyo will decide by the end of this month,... after receiving approvals from its political parties... <br />The sanctions... set to expire mid-April... have banned trade with North Korea... and North Korean vessels from entering into Japanese ports since 2006.<br />Japan had partially lifted its sanctions,... when North Korea set up a special investigation committee last July,... to reexamine cases of Japanese abductees by North Korea.<br />However, North Korea has not yet notified Japan the results of the invesgitation.
