The emergency summit meeting of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) reaffirmed its support for Venezuela in its fight against US intervention in its internal affairs and White House sanctions. The 12 foreign ministers of the UNASUR member states meeting in Quito rejected Washington's assertion that Venezuela represents a threat to US national security.
