U.S. lawmaker says North Korea internet outage was response to Sony hack

A U.S. official has acknowledged that there was a response to the cyber attack on Sony Pictures in November, though he didn't identify the responsible party.<br />Representative Michael McCaul, the chair of the U.S. House Homeland Security Committee, said, "There were some cyber responses to North Korea." <br />He said... an internet blackout in North Korea in December was one of the responses.<br />He did not say whether the U.S. was behind it or not, though there had been speculation that the U.S. may have been behind the outage.<br />Washington accuses Pyongyang of disrupting computers at Sony Pictures Entertainment and leaking internal content... while North Korea denies any involvement.
