And finally, a glimmer of hope has appeared for the global economy. <br />The Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development has raised its growth outlook for the next two years. <br />The international watchdog announced Wednesday that the economies for which it provides forecasts are expected to expand by an overall 4 percent this year. <br />That's up one-tenth of a percentage point from last November. <br />By country, Japan saw it growth prospects raised to 1 and 1.4 percent for 2015 and 2016, respectively.<br />Brazil, on the other hand, got its forecast slashed by half a percentage point to an annual 1.5 percent. <br />The OECD said it made the adjustment in light of plunging oil prices and record-low interest rates. <br /><br />And that wraps up our look at international stories for now.
