It has emerged that a U.S.-based civic aid group sent large amounts of rice to North Korea this year.<br />Voice of America reports Thursday that... the Los Angeles-based... New Asia Foundation for Education and Culture... shipped to North Korea some 2 million portions of a special kind of rice infused with extra vitamins and minerals.<br />The shipment was made on two separate occasions in this year alone.<br />The report said the group has provided a total of 23-million U.S. dollars worth of rice and baby food since 2007, including some 3-million dollars worth last year.
