Tunisians take part in vigil to defy Bardo museum attackers

Thousands of Tunisians took to the streets to express their solidarity and remember those who lost their lives in the attack at the Bardo Museum. <br /><br />The vigil took place in the very spot where 23 people, including 20 tourists were killed.<br /><br />“Killing people this way, whatever their ideas are, is really terrible and unacceptable,” said one protester.<br /><br />Defying the extremists, they chanted: “The blood of our martyrs won’t be forgotten.”<br /><br />They waved the Tunisian flag and sung the national anthem, stepping round trails of blood glass and debris from the day before. <br /><br />People have also joined a burgeoning online social media campaign to support Tunisia in what was the deadliest attack the country has seen in 13 years.
