A number of Sunni led Arab states have joined Saudi Arabia in air strikes against Shi’ite Houthi rebels trying to oust Yemini President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.<br /><br /> Overnight warplanes bombed the main airport in rebel held Sanaa and the nearby al Dulaimi military air base.<br /><br /> The Arab League convened in Egypt to back the use of force in Yemen.<br /><br /> The Arab League Secretary General Nabil al Araby said: “The military operation took place after the failure of all attempts to stop the Houthi coup.
