<p>Nobel laureate Joseph Stiglitz is a highly influential voice on income inequality. In his 2012 book "The Price of Inequality", he made a compelling argument that the wealth gap is not good for the wider economy. Since then, inequality has worsened but at least, he says, "there's much more attention to the problem".</p><br />Joseph Stiglitz is concerned about the current state of Western economies. "An economy that doesn't deliver, that doesn't produce income growth for a majority of their citizens is a failed economy", he tells FRANCE 24's Markus Kalsson.
