The U.S. military confirmed Tuesday that it had lost contact with a drone while flying over northwestern Syria, while the Assad regime said that it had shot down a 'hostile U.S. surveillance plane'<br /><br />The MQ-1 Predator drone was flying above the town of Latakia, Syria on Tuesday. At around 1:40 p.m, the U.S. military lost contact with the UAV.
