An unidentified woman was stung by a scorpion aboard an Alaska Airlines flight from LA to Portland, Oregon Saturday night, according to a report by the Daily Mail.<br /><br />Airline officials are apparently unsure how the scorpion snuck aboard the aircraft, which originated in Los Cabos, Mexico.<br /><br />Just as the plane was getting ready to take off, the arachnid made its way onto the shoulder of a male passenger who (carelessly) flicked it off, sending it flying in the direction of the woman.<br /><br />The eight-legged creature next stung the woman, leaving its needle lodged in her hand.<br /><br />The plane was forced to return to its gate and the unidentified passenger, who reportedly took the bite like a champ, was checked by medics.<br /><br />Flight attendants successfully managed to kill the scorpion and the flight took off only an hour behind schedule.<br /><br />-------------------------------------------------------------<br /><br />Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets.
