Firefighters in a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona were called into action on Saturday afternoon to rescue a horse who had become stuck in a swimming pool in suburban Phoenix.<br /><br />According to AZ Central, a homeowner called the Mesa Fire and Medical Department in at about 2:30 p.m. saying that his horse had fallen into his swimming pool and couldn’t get out.<br /><br />When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found the horse stuck in the shallow end of the pool. A veterinarian had to tranquilize the animal before the firefighters could pull it out.<br /><br />A video posted online by the Mesa Fire and Medical Department shows firefighters pulling the animal out of the pool using straps. <br /><br />The horse was then laid down on the grass.
