Two Halifax, Nova Scotia siblings are going public about how their local police department roughed them up, then left them up a creek without a paddle. <br /><br />Siblings Tyson and Cirbie Bishop were having friends over for a Halloween party six years ago. Meanwhile, one of their neighbors phoned in a noise complaint.<br /><br />Hours later, the party wound down on its own accord, but that didn’t stop Halifax Regional Police constables Jordan Gilbert and Matthew Poole from barging in and randomly roughhousing and accosting everyone in the home for no apparent reason whatsoever.<br /><br />All told, the two constables left the Bishops stuck with more than 66,000 Canadian dollars in medical bills, repairs and legal fees. <br /><br />And even though an independent police review board ruled in the Bishops’ favor, the board didn’t recommend any sort of charges against the officers, nor will it force the municipality to pay the Bishops anything.
