<p>Jinguashi is a former mining town in New Taipei City, Taiwan. It is situated near the Golden Ecological Park, a popular tourist attraction. Although the Junguashi gold mines are closed, a yellow hue can often be seen in the water that flows from the Golden Waterfall, according to <a class="link" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://www.lonelyplanet.com/taiwan/northern-taiwan/jiufen-and-jinguashi/sights/lakes-rivers-waterfalls/golden-waterfall">Lonely Planet</a>.</p><p>This occurs as a result of the copper and iron deposits that the water passes on its journey.
