A boat carrying migrants has run aground off the Greek island of Rhodes and at least three people have drowned, Reuters reports. <br />SEE ALSO: EU holds urgent talks after 700 killed in migrant boat sinking <br /> <br />A coast guard official said that a search-and-rescue operation has recovered three bodies, that of a man, a woman and a child. <br /> <br />Around 80 people have been rescued with 23 taken to hospital, according to another Greek coast guard official quoted by Reuters. <br /> <br />Video footage posted by local news website Rodiaka shows a large, double-masted boat packed full of people just meters away from the shores of Rhodes. The vessel is rocking wildly while passengers jump into the sea and swim towards land. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The news comes days after another boat capsized with 700 migrants feared drowned. <br /> <br />EU ministers are meeting Monday to discuss the ongoing crisis in the Mediterranean. U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, the Pope, and various European leaders have called for action.
