Twenty-four coffins for the only bodies recovered from the Mediterranean’s worst-ever migrant disaster were carried from Malta’s morgue to a funeral at the island nation’s main hospital on Thursday (April 23).<br /><br /> The service will remember the estimated 800 victims of Sunday’s tragedy when a migrant boat capsized in the Mediterranean Sea.<br /><br /> The people who perished had no paperwork. We don’t know their names. Each coffin was marked with a number.<br /><br /> Meanwhile, more than 200 people rescued off the coast of Libya were taken to the Sicilian port of Catania earlier on Thursday.<br /><br /> The Italian coast guard said the migrants, including 50 women, were travelling on two rubber boats. <br /><br /> Their arrival came just hours before EU leaders were due to gather in Brussels to discuss the tragedy.
