Chhota-Udepur: In a bizarre incident, the Sarpanch of Devalia village treated two lovers in a Talibani way. The two lovers who eloped were brought to the village and given Talibani punishment in Panchayat. In the presence of villagers, both were insulted, brutally beaten, forced to do sit-ups holding ears of each other and so on. Also, their parents were penalized.
