An explosion occurred at a shooting range in Fresno, California on Friday after a construction crew accidentally ruptured a natural gas pipeline.<br /><br />The explosion took place at the Fresno County Peace Officers’ Range. A backhoe operator was reinforcing a berm behind the targets at the shooting range while a jail inmate crew was digging bullets out of the berm when the accident occurred, SFGate reported.<br /><br />The backhoe accidentally struck a 12-inch natural gas pipeline when it was scraping the ground.
